Pillar 1: Environmental justice
CIDE’s environmental justice pillar centers on mitigating the negative impacts of environmental exploitation on local communities through climate action. Through this pillar, we strive to ensure that all people have access to clean air, water and land, safe living conditions and a voice in the management of their natural resources.
Pillar 2: Gender Justice
CIDE works to promote efforts to change gender and social norms to address inequalities in power and privilege between genders, in order to free all people from harmful and destructive norms. We promote innovations that challenges unequal power and gender relations and discriminatory norms and practices, which are typically biased in favour of men
Pillar 3: Governance
Good governance is a critical factor in strengthening any system. Without good governance, the impacts of any initiative will be slowed down, not realized, or won’t be sustainable in the long term. Good governance is essential to ensure that resources are used efficiently and effectively, and that the benefits of any initiative are shared equitably.

The Centre for Innovating Development (CIDE) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to devising and piloting innovative solutions to address development challenges in the global south. Our primary focus centers on under-explored communities that lack access to essential resources and opportunities, consequently constraining their civic participation and skills development.
At CIDE, we firmly believe that innovation is the cornerstone of fostering positive and sustainable change for both people and the planet.
We leverage our collective skills and experience working within the contexts to design and implement solutions tailored to the specific needs of our constituents. We also actively collaborate with other organizations, experts, and communities to share and scale innovative initiatives.
CIDE employs a modern approach that incorporates media, arts, and culture to accomplish its objectives, with a particular emphasis on enhancing participation among women and youth. Our aim is to stimulate a demand for creativity and innovation, leading to the exploration and resolution of often-overlooked issues.
